I was recently listening to a radio show, on fashion. A beauty expert, asked what the number 1 beauty problem men and women have. Any quess?

It is yellow teeth! They also suggested getting Coconut Oil to whiten your teeth ~ apply it, leaving it in your mouth for 30 mins, and presto..you will have white teeth. They explained that having your teeth professionally whitened (and I checked with my dentist) will DRY OUT THE ENEMAL ON YOUR TEETH. Also, put a small amount of Hydrogen Peroide (brown bottle for 99 cents) every day will heal the gums and whiten the teeth. When you wear Lipstick, the colored lips…will cause your teeth to look darker.

So, do a Goggle search on your own, and check the wonders for Coconut oil for whitening your teeth, with quick results and or Hyydrogen Peroxide which is in Most ToothPaste For Whitening! I have seen the darkest teeth become very white in 6 months, simply put a small amount in your mouth while taking a shower!.

Also, anyone who has bad breath? This is a direct indictator of gum disease. Start the peroide immediately, and call your dentist for an apt. You will NOT loose your teeth because of cavities, but instead…. due to gum disease. The strong smell is from the bacteria from the inflamed gums. It is a terrible smell. (My father was a dentist). I dilute the hydrogen peroxide with 1/3 as it burns my tongue a little. I have been amazed the the difference in teeth, with the clients who use this every day…and no damage to the teeth…your gums will get healthier. In the health news…they are reporting bad gums can increase your risk for heart attacks, since the backteria carries.

So, begin with your hydrogen peroide today, and avoid having tooth decay, bad breath, but enjoy having very white teeth! Put a bottle (99 cents) in your shower, and fill your mouth, it will bubble, so you can spit some out, but continue. Try for 5 mins. I have seen very white teeth in  4 months, if done everyday. When wearing lipstick, you will LOVE the results…with your new, white healthier, inexpensive treatment–as the pink or purple lipstick– will only cause your teeth to look even darker!

Also, they reported Coconut oil, will whiten your teeth safely in 20 mins!! The problem with lazer whitening, can cause some teeth to dry out….and can thin the enamal on your teeth! So, these two natural (and they don’t cost hundreds of dollars) will whiten at home, and cost 99 cents. Also, any sign of bad breath indicates bad gums not tooth decay. If anyone you know has bad breath, tell them about these wonderful ways and help them get started today with the hydrogen peroxide asap! Bad gums will allow the teeth to loosen and fall out. The smell, is from the bad bacteria in the gums! For everyone else, try the peroxide and or Coconut oil, as a quick inexpensive way to whiten your teeth before you go out. With the peroxide, you must put some in your mouth, and leave it for about 5 mins.

What Color For My Hosiery

 For my next blog on walking, I suggest you get a great pair of hose with a shoe  comfortable enough to walk in.  If your a CD and do not shave your legs, the new dark hosiery with designs, are ideal for your situation. And–their in style!

Hosiery is the finishing touch, not the focal point. A lot of women get this wrong by wearing hose that are either too dark or too light for the rest of their ensemble. Of course, if your CD and do not shave your legs, perhaps a darker shade is your option. For others, herewith some basic 101 rules to help you.

Here are some guidelines:

1. Hosiery needs to be in the same color base as your garment. Don’t mix warm hosiery colors with cool garment colors.

2. To instantly look taller and trimmer, go monochromatic by matching the color tone of your hosiery to your shoe and your hem.

3. With neutral colored skirt or pants, match all three color elements. Example: black skirt, off-black hose, black shoes.

4. Colored hosiery for dressy or business situations needs to be very sheer. Charcoal gray or off-black is more subtle than a solid black.

5. Colored hosiery may either match the garment or the accessory/accent color.
If the hose match the color of the dress or skirt, they add the illusion of height and slimness. This concept works especially well with neutrals like navy, gray, brown, beige, taupe, and even burgundy and rust, but NOT with red.

If the hosiery color matches the accessory/accent color, it should not outshine the garment color.

6. With a brightly colored garment, choose neutral shoes and match hose to shoes. Example: red dress, taupe hose, and taupe shoes.

7. Two-color spectator pumps look best with hose matched to the lighter color, NOT the darker one.

8. Very dark, light or bright hosiery colors and patterns or textures draw attention to your legs.

9. Off-white or light beige can be worn with black during the summer season.

10. Keep leg coverings in the same mood and weight as your shoes. Chunky, casual shoes work with heavier, textured hose or socks.

11. Control top hose are more durable than regular hose, and Lycra extends the resiliency of both.

12. Avoid emergencies by purchasing hose in quantity and keeping a spare pair in your desk drawer and glove compartment.

So what’s one of the biggest bugaboos I see? Wearing dark hose to hide spider veins. Unless your ensemble is dark, you’re calling attention TO your legs, not AWAY from them. Dress in darker colors to match the hose, or wear a longer skirt to cover what you want to hide.

Wearing hosiery gives you a refined, polished look that can’t be beat, so do incorporate it in your wardrobe.  With a few guidelines and a nice hosiery wardrobe, you can look great no matter what occasion comes your way.

New “Hybrid Heels” ~ Less Painful

Many women enjoy the look of wearing heeled shoes, which makes the attraction of wearing them not so appealing to the pain many experience.  The arched back brought on by the heeled shoe alters the positions and angles at which joints are allowed to move. The pelvic and abdominal organs must adapt to these positions, which puts strain on the body. The high amount of pressure focused on the ball of the foot adds stress to the ball. Even the heel experiences strain. When walking in 4 inch heels, the force on the heel of the foot is equivalent to the force felt when running. The way the heel creates the look of long, muscular legs actually takes away from the propulsive power of tendon and leg muscles. This power has to be taken from somewhere else, so knees, thighs, hips, and buttocks are strained. However, with a few changes, you can still wear your favorite heels and achive your sexy walk by changing a few things.  (Also, review my Vol 1 DVD on Feminine Movement which gives detailed instruction with examples of how to walk in heels).

Hybrid Heels

Luckily, there has been a response to the pain of walking in heels. Shoemakers have come up with a less painful design by integrating technology already found in athletic shoes. Recently, high-heeled shoes were released with pouches of gas similar to those found in running and basketball shoes. These air bags are made from “two layers of fabric connected by thousands of fibers. The fabric layers are surrounded by pressurized gas and encased in and attached to a flexible plastic capsule”. These pockets distribute weight more evenly across the shoe, so the shift in center of gravity is minimized. They are inserted in the heel and under the front sole in a variety of hybrid high heels in order to counterbalance pressure put on the ball of the foot while walking and on the heel of the foot while standing.

Now, some might wonder why it would be beneficial to buy these shoes when inexpensive gel cushions can be used. One obvious reason is that inserts can be seen if the shoe does not enclose all sides of the foot. The best reason, however, is that the air bags do not erode. When compressed by a footfall, the capsule compresses and then springs back into shape to provide cushioning and absorb shock from the next footfall. So, in addition to being comfortable, these shoes are attractive and durable. Hyrbrid heels will not completely rid all the strains caused by high heels, but they are a start. “There’s still a lot of room out there for development,” says Karen Mickle, a PhD student at the University of Wollongong’s Biomechanics Research Laboratory. Footwear scientists predict many more advances in heeled footwear are on the way.

Conclusion

High-heeled shoes are a classic way to enhance appearance because they create a classic poise and walk. They are able to transform the body to move in a provocative way mainly because they shift the center of gravity and cause the body to use more muscle and movement to maintain balance. Women have forever been complaining about the way these shoes make the body ache, so innovations are finally being made to high-heeled shoes, although no solution has yet been found to completely rid all the strains of wearing these tall shoes. Engineering comfortable heels could turn out to be problematic since it may require alterations of the classic high-heel design that has been around for the past 50 years. Still, it is a step forward in the world of shoe engineering to move away from the athletic department and into an untouched fashion zone.  To locate these shoes, do an internet search, for stores in your city/state.

  Post Script:  Before wearing  heels stretch out your feet and lower legs with bare feet and begin to stretch your toes and lower legs, by standing up on the ball of your feet and pulling UP very tight–holding– relaxing–repeat several times.  Then switch and stand on your bare HEELS with toes pointed towards the ceiling (support yourself by holding onto something for balance-support) while standing on your bare heels you want to feel the stretch in your lower leg. Also, stretch the arch in your feet, by pointing your toes (like a ballet dancer) very tight, then relax and repeat each toe/arch stretch 5 to 10 times.  Point that toe!! This will enable you to wear a higher heel longer, and slows down “being sore”  afterwards (generally women report their  lower legs and their arch can feel sore for 1-2 days).  So… before your next outing with fabulous 3 or 4 inch heels…remember your “high heel”  stretches ~ before and after! And, when sitting  while wearing your heels  …Point That Toe so you don’t appear to have flat, longer feet. Try it, It Works!
